We are pleased to inform you that Journalism and Media (ISSN: 2673-5172) has been accepted for coverage by the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) in the Web of Science (WoS) in November 2023. We would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to all the authors, reviewers, and editors who have contributed to this journal and helped us to accomplish this achievement. Please kindly note that it will still take a few months for the journal’s papers to appear on the website of WoS, as well as for a profile to appear within the Master Journal List (MJL), because the final paperwork must first be processed.

Journalism and Media is an open access journal of scientific research on the social, economic, political, and cultural dimensions of journalism and the media, with a special interest in their latest developments and transformations. Our aim is to publish papers on key issues and contribute to theoretical, methodological, and empirical innovation in this field. Therefore, the journal responds to a highly dynamic scientific field that is characterized by its centrality in contemporary societies. It will offer new knowledge on the role and impact of journalism and the media in a globalized world, from a broad, diverse, and rigorous perspective, with the aim of placing itself at the center of scientific debates and providing a valuable service to scholars in this field. Journalism and Media publishes research articles, conceptual papers, and review papers, as well as Special Issues on particular subjects.
