Feature papers represent the most advanced research with significant potential for high impact in the field. A Feature
Paper should be a substantial original Article that involves several techniques or approaches, provides an outlook for
future research directions and describes possible research applications.
Feature papers are submitted upon individual invitation or recommendation by the scientific editors and must receive
positive feedback from the reviewers.
Editor’s Choice articles are based on recommendations by the scientific editors of MDPI journals from around the world.
Editors select a small number of articles recently published in the journal that they believe will be particularly
interesting to readers, or important in the respective research area. The aim is to provide a snapshot of some of the
most exciting work published in the various research areas of the journal.
As Editor-in-Chief of JMMP (Journal of Manufacturing and Materials Processing), I am pleased to announce the winner of the 2019 Travel Award sponsored by JMMP. The award was granted to Dr. Pan Wang, postdoctoral fellow of the Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech). He will receive 800 Swiss Francs for travel expenses to attend the 10th Pacific Rim International Conference on Advance Materials and Processing (PRICM-10) to be held in Xi’an, China.
Dr. Pan Wang’s current research is focused on additive manufacturing of metal and polymers, high-quality powder for additive manufacturing, phase transformation and deformation behavior of metastable alloys, and superplastic deformation of Mg and Al alloys.
JMMP is proud to support this young researcher working in the fields of processes, equipment, systems, and materials in relation to manufacturing, and wish him further success in his career. We are grateful to all who submitted applications—thank you for letting us get to know you and your work. We hope all of you will continue following JMMP in the future.
I personally would like to congratulate the winner and thank the selection committee for their excellent work in choosing the winner from such a large number of excellent candidates.
