Travel Award

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Evaluation Committee, we are pleased to announce the two winners of the Journal of Imaging 2019 Travel Award. The awards were granted to Mr. Grigorios Chrysos, a Ph.D. student at Imperial College London, and Dr. Hai Zhang, a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Toronto. The award recipients will receive 400 Swiss Francs each to support their attendance at any academic conference on the related areas in 2019.

Mr. Grigorios Chrysos is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Computing, Imperial College London. His interests lie at the intersection of statistical machine learning and computer vision.

Dr. Hai Zhang is a postdoctoral fellow in mechanical and industrial engineering at the University of Toronto. His recent research focuses on the development of a 3D photothermal coherence tomography (3D PCT) technique.

With so many high-quality applicants, selecting the recipients of the awards was a difficult decision, and we would like to thank the Evaluation Committee for their excellent work in selecting the winners from such a
large pool of excellent candidates. We wish to congratulate the winners for their accomplishments.
