We were honored to have Prof. Dr. Suwata give a brief interview. Please find an excerpt below.
1. Could you please briefly introduce yourself and share your current research direction and latest progress?
My expertise is in beam diagnostics and instrumentation for high-energy charged particle accelerators. Until last year, I was engaged in high-energy electron and positron linear accelerators; however, from this year, I switched to low-energy ion accelerators and developed beam diagnostics and instrumentation. Recently, my group has successfully developed a special beam instrumentation device to measure beam parameters in the multi-dimensional phase spaces.
2. Could you share with us your feelings about winning the award? What does this award mean to you personally?
I am truly honored for winning the award. My review works could contribute to boosting not only my own articles but also those of other competitors in similar fields of expertise. That is, I believe that my review works may contribute to activating the full breadth of expertise across the field.
During the interview, Prof. Dr. Suwada indicated that it is important for reviewers to concentrate on enhancing the quality of articles before publication. He also suggested that authors should ensure that they use plain English when writing their articles and that it is important that the text be written in a concise and clear manner.
