Recruiting Editorial Board Members for Genes

Genes (ISSN: 2073-4425) is an international, peer-reviewed open access journal that publishes studies pertaining to the fields of genes, genetics and genomics.
To further enhance the international influence of Genes and promote academic exchange among researchers, we are currently recruiting prestigious scholars from around the world to join our Editorial Board, particularly for the following Sections:
- Section “Pharmacogenetics”;
- Section “Plant Genetics and Genomics”;
- Section “Genes & Environments”;
- Section “Genetic Diagnosis”;
- Section “Toxicogenomics”;
- Section “Transgenic Technology”;
- Section “Viral Genomics”.
Recruitment:
Editorial Board Members can hold the position for two years, with the possibility of renewal for a second term.
To be eligible for this position, candidates must fulfil the following criteria:
- Completed their doctorate/PhD degree;
- Served as the first author/corresponding author on at least ten peer-reviewed and published manuscripts in the last five years;
- Published impactful work in the field of plant genetics, medical genetics and diagnosis, genetic toxicology, pharmacogenetics, environmental mutagenesis, virus genomics and transgenic technologies.
- Currently (at the time of application) holds an associate professor or professor position in academia;
- Actively engaged in their community (e.g., experienced at presenting at conferences or involved in professional organizations).
The main responsibilities of Editorial Board Members are as follows:
- Pre-screening and making decisions on new submissions related to their research interests;
- Setting up at least one Special Issue during their term on a topic associated with their research interests (or supervising Special Issues related to their research field);
- Providing input or feedback regarding journal policies;
- Helping to promote the journal among their peers or at conferences;
- Attending Board meetings to suggest strategies for journal development;
- Reviewing manuscripts.
According to their area of expertise, Editorial Board Members may be assigned to a specific journal Section as Section Board Members; in this case, they are primarily committed to this Section.

Selection process and announcement:
