Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to invite you to collaborate on our proposal for a Special Issue regarding surgical pediatric otolaryngology, with a focus on congenital pathologies.
The pediatric population represents a delicate category of patients because they may be affected by congenital, acquired, or hereditary pathologies often attributable to syndrome contexts. The clinical situations are difficult to diagnose because they manifest themselves in acute symptoms and therefore must be resolved in a short time. Furthermore, once diagnosed, the pathology is difficult to treat due to the size of the accesses. Sharing real-life experiences is therefore essential to be able to implement techniques and approaches, like endoscopic surgery, that were able to succeed as the most used technique for many rhinological and skull base diseases.
This Special Issue aims to direct the surgeon to the diagnostic and therapeutic iter for children often affected by syndromes and therefore a series of problems, and it can be a help to explain and accompany the parents in awareness and assistance.
In this Special Issue, original research articles, including both clinical trials and observational studies, reviews, clinical cases, or series are welcome.
We look forward to receiving your contributions.
