Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Nursing today stands at the crossroads of traditional care and rapidly evolving healthcare systems. Nurses play a central role in ensuring patient safety, improving the quality of care, and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration. However, they also face numerous challenges such as workforce shortages, increasing workloads, ethical dilemmas, and the growing influence of digital technologies. These challenges call for new models of education, leadership, and innovation that strengthen resilience, competence, and professional sustainability across all areas of nursing practice.
This Special Issue, titled “Challenges and Opportunities for Nurses in Modern Clinical Practice,” aims to explore the contemporary realities of nursing work across diverse healthcare settings.
We invite authors to submit original research articles, systematic reviews, methodological papers, and examples of good practice that address challenges, barriers, and opportunities for growth in areas such as leadership, clinical education, mentoring, interprofessional collaboration, communication, digital transformation, evidence-based practice, ethics, and professional development as key drivers of change in nursing and related health professions.
By bringing together current evidence, experiences, and examples of effective practice, this issue seeks to inform strategies that strengthen nursing practice and enhance the well-being of both patients and healthcare professionals.
We look forward to receiving your valuable contributions.
