Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

This Special Issue will focus on the latest developments and transformative shifts in evidence based practice (EBP) across health disciplines. As healthcare continues to adapt to emerging global challenges—such as chronic disease management, aging populations, pandemics, and health inequities—new ways of applying evidence to practice are gaining relevance and urgency.

The contributions featured in this Issue explore how innovation is enhancing the way we gather,
interpret, and apply evidence in real world healthcare settings. These include the growing impact of big data analytics, the integration of real-time clinical decision support systems, and the role of patient reported outcomes and lived experiences in shaping more responsive care models.

Strong emphasis is placed on improving the accessibility and usability of evidence at all levels of the health system—from frontline providers to health policymakers. Articles also address barriers that hinder the routine use of evidence in practice, such as a lack of time, resources, or training, and propose practical solutions through capacity-building, leadership, and organizational change.

Ultimately, this Special Issue highlights a shift toward a more dynamic, inclusive, and technology-enabled vision of evidence-based health practice. It invites readers to reconsider traditional paradigms and engage with forward-thinking approaches that can better support health professionals and improve care delivery in diverse and evolving contexts.

We look forward to receiving your contributions.
