We are pleased to announce that the winner of the Healthcare 2021 Young Investigator Award is Dr. Amir Karami.
Dr. Amir Karami is an Assistant Professor of the University of South Carolina, Columbia, USA. Dr. Karami’s research interests are in medical and health informatics, social computing and social media analysis, Big Data and text mining, computational social science, and health misinformation and disinformation. Dr. Karami received his PhD in 2015 and has an outstanding publication record, comprising 25 publications in peer-reviewed international journals and 32 peer-reviewed conference papers and his Hirsch index is 11. As a single applicant, Dr. Karami has awarded grants more than USD 3,000,000 since 2015. This is an outstanding achievement in today’s competitive environment. Please join us in congratulating Dr. Karami for his outstanding achievements.
As the awardee, Dr. Karami will receive an honorarium of CHF 2000, an offer to publish a paper free of charge in 2022 in Healthcare after peer-review, and a certificate.
