Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Infectious diseases are a global health problem. The world is still fighting against SARS-CoV-2; however, emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases and outbreaks are overwhelming the healthcare system and the public as well. While we are talking more about epidemic preparedness and response, it is fundamentally important to understand the genetics, mechanisms, and impacts of infections. In this Special issue on “Genetics of Infectious Diseases”, we welcome original research, review articles, commentaries, and opinions on any related topics including but not limited to genetics and genomics of infectious pathogens, host–pathogen interactions, etiological factors for disease development, new approaches for pathogen diagnostics, and multi-omics analysis on infection phases. We are dedicated to publishing and highlighting your work in this Special Issue with unparalleled visibility and look forward to receiving your contributions.
