2009	The inaugural issue was released by PAGEPress.
2015	Gastroenterology Insights was indexed in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) - Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics), starting with Volume 6 (Issue 1).
2017	Gastroenterology Insights received its first CiteScore (2016) of 0.1.
2020	Gastroenterology Insights was published by MDPI from Volume 11 Issue 1 (2020). Gastroenterology Insights established the following sections: -Alimentary Tract; -Gastrointestinal Disease; -Liver; -Pancreas; -Biliary Content; -Gastrointestinal and Hepato-Biliary Imaging.
2021	Gastroenterology Insights adopted a quarterly publication schedule.
2023	Gastroenterology Insights received its first Impact Factor (2.9).
