Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
In many ways, the labor market comprises the backbone of any economy. It is therefore important to better understand the labor markets of the world economies so that policymakers can provide informed and effective policy responses. This Special Issue of Economies focuses on labor markets in developing and transition economies, with particular attention paid to current issues, opportunities, and policy challenges and policy responses. Submissions can be on any topic related to labor—at the micro or the macro level, theoretical or empirical. Topics may include, but are by no means limited to, issues ranging from traditional labor topics such as labor supply, the production of human capital and/or skills, the returns to human capital and/or skills, child labor, the school to work transition, etc., to lab experiments and theoretical models—as long as there is a focus on labor issues and developing and/or transition economies.
