2021 The inaugural issue was released. COVID was published as a monthly journal.
2024

COVID was indexed in Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI)—Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics), starting with Volume 1 (Issue 1).
COVID was indexed in Scopus (Elsevier), starting with Volume 1 (Issue 1).

COVID established the following sections:
COVID Public Health and Epidemiology;
Long COVID and Post-Acute Sequelae;
Human or Animal Coronaviruses;
COVID Clinical Manifestations and Management;
Host Genetics and Susceptibility/Resistance.
