Young Investigator Award

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce that the winner of the Chemosensors 2020 Young Investigator Award is Dr. Elizabeth New.

Dr. Elizabeth New is an Associate Professor at the University of Sydney (Sydney, Australia). Dr. Elizabeth New’s research interests include chemical biology, bioinorganic chemistry, molecular imaging, redox sensing and metal ion sensing. Dr. Elizabeth New received her PhD in 2010 and has an outstanding publication record, comprising 74 publications in peer-reviewed international journals and an international patent. Her total citations number is over 3000 (according to Web of Science) and her Hirsch index is 26. She is clearly a rising star in the field of optical sensing. As a single applicant, Dr. Elizabeth New has secured funding of more than USD 40 million since 2009. This is an outstanding achievement in today’s competitive environment. Please join us in congratulating Dr. Elizabeth New for her outstanding achievements. 

As the awardee, Dr. Elizabeth New will receive an honorarium of CHF 2000, an offer to publish a paper free of charge in Chemosensors after peer review and an engraved plaque.
