Chemosensors | Articles Related to Food Safety Published in 2023–2024

On 7 June, we will commemorate World Food Safety Day, a global initiative spearheaded by the World Health Organization (WHO) and Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). This year’s theme, “Food Safety: Science in Action”, highlights the crucial role of scientific research and innovation in ensuring food safety and supporting informed decision making. As food systems become increasingly complex, the need for rapid, sensitive, and reliable monitoring tools is more important than ever. (Bio)chemical sensors and spectroscopic techniques are revolutionizing food safety practices by enabling the rapid, accurate detection of contaminants, pathogens, toxins, etc. In line with this theme, we are pleased to highlight the following recent articles that demonstrate significant advancements in biochemical sensing and spectroscopic technologies:
