Photochemistry and Excited States
A section of Chemistry (ISSN 2624-8549).
Section Information
This section welcomes high-quality manuscripts across the full spectrum of photochemistry and photophysics. We seek research articles, reviews, perspectives, and opinion pieces that advance understanding of light–matter interactions at the atomic and molecular level, develop or apply cutting-edge experimental and theoretical tools for excited-state science, or demonstrate impactful applications of photoactive systems.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: light-driven chemistry and biochemistry; advanced spectroscopies, including time-resolved and space-resolved methods; biophotonics and biomedical applications of light; solar-energy conversion and photonic engineering; photocatalysis and photoelectrochemistry; novel optical materials and devices; and theoretical studies of excited-state dynamics. Submissions that bridge disciplines, introduce new methodologies, or provide clear mechanistic insight into excited-state processes are particularly encouraged.
