Feature papers represent the most advanced research with significant potential for high impact in the field. A Feature

future research directions and describes possible research applications.

positive feedback from the reviewers.
Editor’s Choice articles are based on recommendations by the scientific editors of MDPI journals from around the world.
Editors select a small number of articles recently published in the journal that they believe will be particularly
interesting to readers, or important in the respective research area. The aim is to provide a snapshot of some of the
most exciting work published in the various research areas of the journal.
As Editor-in-Chief of Biomimetics, I am pleased to announce the winner of the Biomimetics 2023 Travel Award. The award has been granted to Wenda Song, a PhD Student in Bionic Science and Engineering at Jilin University, Changchun, China. He will attend the 7th International Conference of Bionic Engineering (ICBE2023), to be held in Wuhan, China.
As the awardee, he will receive an honorarium of CHF 800, an offer to publish a paper free of charge in 2023 in Biomimetics after peer review, and a certificate.
With so many high-quality applicants, the evaluation process and final decision were challenging. We would like to thank all the applicants for submitting their diverse and fascinating range of research topics.
