Arts | Aims and Scope Update

To further enhance the quality of Arts and the papers published in it, under the guidance of our Editor-in-Chief, Prof. Dr. Andrew Nedd, the journal has updated and revised its aims and scope. The original aims and scope and the updated version are listed below:

Arts (ISSN 2076-0752) is a peer-reviewed, open access scholarly journal that publishes new and significant research relating to all aspects of the visual and performing arts. The mission of this journal is to provide a venue for thoughtful and critical inquiry, employing innovative approaches. 

We welcome articles that present new and significant scholarship—theoretical, historical, interdisciplinary, and global—that explores all aspects of the visual arts, from studio art to architecture and the performing arts.

Arts (ISSN 2076-0752) is a peer-reviewed, open access scholarly journal that publishes new, significant research on all aspects of the visual and performing arts. Its goal is to promote critical inquiry, dialogue, and innovative approaches. We welcome articles that present innovative and significant scholarship—theoretical, historical, interdisciplinary, and global—as well as other contributions of broad scholarly interest.

Studio Art: This includes practices such as painting, drawing, sculpting, ceramics, photography, printmaking, and new media.

Art Theory and Criticism: The history and theories of aesthetics and art criticism. This can include the intersection of art practices with society, culture, and politics.

Architecture: Theory, history, and contemporary practices in the field of the building arts.

The Art Market and Exhibitions: The sale and exhibition of works of art, as well as the institutions and venues that support these practices. This may include studies of curation, museum practices, and the preservation of artistic patrimony.

The Performing Arts: Dance, music, theater, and other art forms that may involve an interaction between the performer and an audience.

Cinema Studies: Historical and theoretical analysis of film, television, and other forms of moving images.

Craft, Design, and Material Culture: New perspectives on how humans interact with physical objects, which may include exploring aesthetics, history, cultural values, and technological innovations.
