Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain technology, and cybersecurity have emerged as transformative forces reshaping the digital landscape. AI-driven methodologies are increasingly being integrated into blockchain networks and cybersecurity frameworks to enhance security, optimize efficiency, and mitigate risks in decentralized ecosystems. This Special Issue aims to bring together cutting-edge research that explores the intersection of AI, blockchain, and cybersecurity, addressing both theoretical advancements and practical applications.
The scope of this Special Issue includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- AI-Enhanced Security Mechanisms in Blockchain: How AI algorithms improve security protocols, fraud detection, and anomaly recognition in decentralized networks.
- AI for Smart Contract Auditing and Verification: Innovations in automated smart contract analysis and vulnerability detection.
- Machine Learning for Threat Detection and Prevention: AI-driven techniques for identifying and mitigating cyber threats in blockchain-based systems.
- Decentralized AI Models for Cybersecurity: Federated learning and AI-based privacy-preserving methods in blockchain networks.
- Quantum-Resistant AI and Blockchain Solutions: The role of AI in developing cryptographic techniques resilient to quantum computing threats.
- Blockchain and AI for Secure IoT and Edge Computing: Applications in securing connected devices and distributed computing infrastructures.
- Ethical AI and Blockchain Governance: Addressing bias, fairness, and transparency in AI-integrated blockchain ecosystems.
- Case Studies and Real-World Applications: Implementation and evaluation of AI-powered blockchain cybersecurity solutions in industries such as finance, healthcare, and supply chain management.
By bridging AI, blockchain, and cybersecurity, this Special Issue aims to advance the field by providing novel insights, fostering collaborations, and inspiring future innovations. We welcome original research articles, review papers, and case studies from academia and industry.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. AI is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 1600 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
