Prof. Dr. Secundino López Appointed Section Editor-in-Chief of Section “Farm Animal Production” in Agriculture
We are pleased to announce that Prof. Dr. Secundino López has been appointed Section Editor-in-Chief of the Section “Farm Animal Production” in Agriculture (ISSN: 2077-0472, IF: 3.6).
Prof. Dr. Secundino López is a professor of animal science and animal nutrition at the University of León in Spain (ULe), Department of Animal Production.
He graduated as a DVM at the Faculty of Veterinary (ULe) and holds a doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in ruminant nutrition from ULe (1998). He was Head of the Department of Animal Production at ULe from 2007 to 2015. His major research activities focus on animal nutrition, ruminant feeding, feed evaluation, rumen fermentation and mathematical modeling applied to animal nutrition.
He is a co-author of more than 200 papers indexed by Scopus and has supervised several Ph.D. students. His teaching activity includes courses on animal nutrition, feed science and agronomy for veterinarians in the Faculty of Veterinary and the School of Agronomy and Agricultural Engineering at ULe.
He is participating as a scientific researcher for several R&D projects funded by various national and international research funding organizations, including R&D programs of the European Union (e.g., PRIMA).
