Cover Story: This volume of Proceedings gathers papers presented at the iREEC 2022, which was held as an online event on 10–11 March 2022. The purpose of iREEC 2022 is to contribute to advancing the understanding of environmental and sustainability education through the lens of research that explores and promotes EC through education multidisciplinary research and approaches combining environmental education, sustainability education, science education, and citizenship education. This Proceedings is based on work from Cost Action ENEC—European Network for Environmental Citizenship (CA16229), supported by COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology). COST is a funding agency for innovation networks. Our actions help to connect research initiatives across Europe and enable scientists to grow their ideas by sharing them with their peers. This boosts their research, career, and innovation.
