Time Series and Forecasting ITISE-2025: Statement of Peer Review †

The ITISE 2025 (11th International conference on Time Series and Forecasting) seeks to provide a discussion forum for scientists, engineers, educators and students about the latest ideas and realizations in the foundations, theory, models and applications for interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research encompassing disciplines of computer science, mathematics, statistics, forecaster, econometric, etc. in the field of time series analysis and forecasting.
The aims of ITISE 2025 is to create a friendly environment that could lead to the establishment or strengthening of scientific collaborations and exchanges among attendees, and therefore, ITISE 2025 solicits high-quality original research papers (including significant work-in-progress) on any aspect related to time series analysis and forecasting, in order to motivate the generation and development of new computational techniques and methods in the field of time series analysis and forecasting.
During the celebration of ITISE-2025, it was a privilege and an honor to host three distinguished plenary speakers, whose contributions significantly enriched the scientific program:
  • Prof. Vilém Novák, University of Ostrava, Institute for Research and Applications of Fuzzy Modeling, Czech Republic, who delivered the plenary lecture entitled “Non-statistical Methods for Processing Time Series and Mining Information from Them.”
  • Prof. K. Nikolopoulos, affiliated with Deng (NTUA), ITP (Northwestern University), Durham University, DUBS, and IHRR, who presented the plenary talk “The Computer and the Brain.”
  • Prof. Martin Wagner, Professor of Economics at the University of Klagenfurt and Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Management, Economics and Law, who delivered the plenary lecture entitled “Integrated Modified Least Squares Estimation and (Fixed-b) Inference for (Systems of) Cointegrating Multivariate Polynomial Regressions.”
In addition, ITISE-2025 had the privilege of hosting several Special Sessions, organized by leading international experts, covering a wide range of advanced topics:
  • SS1. Forecasting in Space and Time: Methods for Quantifying Geospatial and Time-Series Effects.
    Organizer: Prof. Dr. James Ming Chen, Justin Smith Morrill Chair in Law and Professor of Law at Michigan State University.
  • SS2. Functional Time Series Analysis and Applications.
    Organizer: Prof. Nengxiang Ling, Hefei University of Technology, Hefei, China.
  • SS3. Advances in Hydroinformatics and Geo/Statistics for Modelling and Risk Assessment of Water Systems.
    Organizers (IGA Research Group, University of Salamanca): Prof. Santiago Zazo del Dedo (Assistant Professor), Prof. Dr. José Luis Molina (Full Professor), Prof. Dr. Carmen Patiño (Associate Professor), and Prof. Dr. Fernando Espejo (Associate Professor).
  • SS4. Forecasting in High Dimensions and Complex/Big Data.
    Organizers: Prof. Fernando Rojas and Prof. Luis Javier Herrera, University of Granada, Spain.
  • SS5. Computational Intelligence Methods for Time Series.
    Organizer: Prof. Héctor Pomares, University of Granada, Spain.
  • SS6. Advanced Econometric Modelling.
    Organizer: Prof. Chen, Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University.
  • SS7. Time Series Analysis with Computational Intelligence in Energy Forecasting.
    Organizers: Prof. Peter Glösekötter (FH Münster), Dr. Joseph Moerschell (HES-SO, University of Applied Sciences of Western Switzerland, Sion), Prof. Ignacio Rojas (University of Granada), Prof. Tilman Sanders (FH Münster), Prof. Markus Gregor and Prof. Sarah Trinschek (FH Münster University of Applied Sciences), and Prof. Ruxandra Stoean (Associate Professor, University of Craiova, Romania).
