The paper lends relevant data on lead-iodovanadinite synthesis. The approach is classical to determine the mechanisms of iodoapatite formation. However, the characteristics of the HIPed ceramics are missing like density, nature and amount of porosity, in particular in the study of overpressure effect.
The choice of HIP conditions could be explained (temperature, time, pressure, cycle). The synthesis conditions used in literature (HUP, SPS) could be reported and discussed from these new TGA-MS results.
Regarding the TGA-MS results, some experiments with only the precursors could help the interpretation of the weight losses. Is it possible to determine other masses than iodine and di-iodine? The last part (Figure 12) could be more discussed. Why there is no gas release for x=2 and almost no release for x=2.5?
The studies on Tc immobilization do not seem to me relevant . The reliability of Mo as Tc surrogate is low and the insights on PbMoO4 as a possible conditioning matrix for Tc are hazardous.
Figure 8: What is the origin of peak (333)? It seems there is a shift for Ba3(VO4)2 peaks as reference. Indicate the crystal structure of Pb3(VO4)2 and Ba3(VO4)2

This article reports the investigation of iodovanadinite wasteforms using the hot isostatic pressing method. The article is well organized and the work is very interesting. I suggest that the paper can be accepted after minor revision. Some suggestions are as follows:
(1) The physicochemical properties between Tc and Re are much similar. So, why do you choose Mo instead of Re in this research work?
(2) The physical quantity and unit of the horizontal axis in Figure 12d is missing.
