Novel Fractional Order Differential and Integral Models for Wind Turbine Power–Velocity Characteristics
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
Comments and Suggestions for AuthorsThe authors introduced nine FDE-based models for wind turbine power curves modelling. All models are well validated and compared utilizing actual data. Some general comments are given, but not limited to the following. (1)The motivation of the fractional generalization for the original nine models should be clearly emphasized. Why fractional differential operators could be invoked? Is there any physical or theoretical explanations?(2)With varying orders, the accuracy of these nine fractional-order models could be compared with specific wind turbine data. However, in the more general cases, which is the best one of the nine fractional models with a given constant order? Except for data fitting, how determinate the order of fractional differential operators?
