The journal Fishes retracts the article titled “Distribution Pattern and Brood Parasitism Characteristics of an Endangered Fish, Pseudopungtungia nigra, in the Geum River Basin, South Korea” [1], cited above.
Following publication, the authors contacted the Editorial Office to raise concerns relating to the reliability of the data presented in this study [1].
Adhering to our standard procedure, the Editorial Office and Editorial Board conducted an investigation that confirmed the presence of fundamental errors in the data collection that compromise the reliability of the overall findings. As a result, the Editorial Office, Editorial Board, and authors have decided to retract this article [1] as per MDPI’s retraction policy (https://www.mdpi.com/ethics#_bookmark30 (accessed on 26 November 2024)).
This retraction was approved by the Editor-in-Chief of the Fishes journal.
