The use of abbreviations needs to be re-considered.

Abstract.
"Salicylic acid" is written 7 times, "SA" one time (without explanation what SA stands for).
"1-MCP" is written 8 times without explanation what MCP stands for.

Introduction
1-MCP is used on line 50, but explanation comes on line 52.
On line 56 SA is used, explanation comes on line 62. JA is not explained at all.

On line 65 SA is not used
On line 70 SA is not used
On line 77 SA is used - good!

On line 128 and 131 SOD is used without explanation.
On line 134 there is explanation of SOD

On line 158 PAL is explained
On line 161 there is an unnecessary explanation of PAL, use PAL instead.

On line 164 CAT is used without explanation.

On line 223 and 231 GLU and CHI are used without explanation.

On line 235 NPR is used without explanation.

On line 236 TGA is used without explanation.

On line 306 Salicylic acid is used instead of SA

On line 327 CHI and GLU are used without explanation.

On line 337 Superoxide dismutase is used without stating SOD as abbreviation (used on line 340)
On line 337 catalase is used without stating CAT as abbreviation (used on line 345)

On line 338 Salicylic acid is used without abbreviation.

On line 349 APX is used without explanation

On line 355 MDA is used without explanation.

On line 368 and 381 Salicylic acid is used without abbreviation.

On line 402 still no explanation of CHI and GLU

On line 417 WRKY not explained, line 418 MeJA not explained.

On line 441 SA is used (good!), but on line 447 Salicylic acid is used again.

Section 4. SA is used 2 times. Salicylic acid 8 times.

On line 479 VC is not explained.

Section 5.
SA is not used a single time, Salicylic acid is used 6 times
Line 529, what is meant by "few reports"?
Line 530, what is menat by "more fruits"?

Figure 1 is very hard to read.
Line 335. Salicylic acid is used instead of SA.

Headings
"SA" is used in 6 headings
"Salicylic acid" is used in 2 headings
Be consistent.

Conclusion and prospect section needs to be re-written to really summarize and give well motivated prospects. It is not sufficient to use vague words like "much" "more" and "few" without further comments.
