The authors wish to make the following corrections to this paper [1]:
In the original publication, there was a mistake in Figure 1 as published. A label indicating “meiosis II” was used in the figure between the primary and secondary/preantral follicles. However, the label should have indicated that “meiosis II begins and is completed at fertilization”. The corrected Figure 1 appears below. The authors state that the scientific conclusions are unaffected. This correction was approved by the Academic Editor. The original publication has also been updated.
