Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Manuscript “Optimization and Validation of Rancimat Operational Parameters to Determine Walnut Oil Oxidative Stability” presents the optimization and validation of the oxidative stability analysis - Rancimat - of walnut oil. The Rancimat test conditions for walnut oil have not been optimized before.

In text there is only a few small bugs.

In all places in manuscript instead of „L-h-1” should be “L*h-1”;

In table 3 in line “Block” p-value should be bold;

Line 294 delete “enter”;

Table 5 – in column 2,3,4 there are mistakes, values are in wrong places;

Line 398 There is not enough information about that reference.

Reviewer 2 Report

R 26-27 Oil content is 60-70% and the fatty acids lipid profile contains 50-70% linoleic acid and 15-20% linolenic acid. May be you can include a reference for FA lipid profile.

R 30-32 There are several methods to appreciate the oxidative stability of oils. You can mention some of them or at least you can specify that the induction time is one of them.

R89 Method and equipment for dehydration

R 398 Reference incomplete
