The journal Processes retracts the article titled “Conversion Technologies: Evaluation of Economic Performance and Environmental Impact Analysis for Municipal Solid Waste in Malaysia” [1], cited above.
Following publication, concerns were brought to the attention of the Editorial Office regarding a potential undisclosed conflict of interest within the peer-review process conducted for this article [1].
Adhering to our standard procedure, an investigation was conducted by the Editorial Office and Editorial Board, which confirmed an undisclosed Conflict of Interest between an author and the Academic Editor. Further investigation by the Editorial Board identified significant methodological concerns, data inconsistencies, and other issues that undermine the publication’s results and conclusions.
Consequently, the Editorial Board lost confidence in the reliability of the findings and decided to retract this publication [1], as per MDPI’s retraction policy (https://www.mdpi.com/ethics#_bookmark30).
This retraction was approved by the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Processes.
The authors do not agree with this decision.
