The journal Mathematics (ISSN 2227-7390) [1] is an international, open access journal which provides an advanced forum for studies related to mathematical sciences. It is exclusively devoted to the publication of high-quality reviews, regular research papers and short communications in all areas of pure and applied mathematics.
The journal was established in 2013 and was indexed in SCIE in 2018 [2]. In conjunction with the journal’s accelerated growth, the journal was structured into 13 sections, encompassing a diverse range of mathematical disciplines. In response to the dynamic advancements in mathematical sciences and evolving research landscapes, the journal has engaged in a strategic restructuring of its sections in accordance with the 2020 Mathematics Subject Classification database [3]. The aim of this restructuring is to provide clearer navigation for authors and readers from diverse mathematical divisions.
The restructuring of the previous 13 parallel sections entails a more coherent hierarchical organization structure of Mathematics. Table 1 shows both the original and the new section structures of the journal.
We hope that the new hierarchical organization structure of Mathematics will contribute to providing a clearer pathway for authors and readers, enabling better access to relevant content and promoting interdisciplinary collaboration.
