Abstract

Although prosody plays a critical role in early language acquisition, the effects of prosodic training on language outcomes during infancy remain unexplored. This study evaluated the feasibility and preliminary efficacy of a prosodic training program. Thirty-three children aged 6 to 36 months attended 23 weekly group sessions in their educational setting. Language development was assessed pre- and post-training using the Griffiths III Language and Communication subscale. Results showed a significant shift in the discrepancy between developmental and chronological age, with mean scores increasing from below-age to above-age expected levels. Educators and caregivers reported high satisfaction, language gains, and strong engagement.
