Comments and Suggestions for Authors

Dear Author(s),

Hope you are (all) well.

I feel you paper is quite good and ask for a few minor revisions prior to publication.

Please include how how pupils with an ADHD, autistic, mental health or neurodivergent condition would be able to benefit from increased art integration in the curriculum.

It is good to see confirmation of earlier studies that opportunities to engage with art, help to reduce incidents of aggression in the classroom.

Please include include some recent studies from the 2020s, which discuss how the use of art has resulted in an improvement of behaviours in the classroom.

Please include any main domains or themes from Ryan and Deci (2000) in the paper.

The themes identified from the Landau Social Climate Scales from Saldern and Littig (1985) are good. Could domains and themes from more recent studies have been used.

Please include in a 'Limitation of Study' that this is a quantitative methods study.

Please articulate how a mixed-methods study, to include qualitative pupil and staff interviews, may result in a different interpretation of the effect of art integration on social relationships at school.

Best wishes

Kind regards

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

Overall, this is a strong manuscript that makes a valuable contribution to the field. While some structural improvements could enhance its clarity, the research itself is sound, original, and well-supported by appropriate references.
