Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

I have reviewed this manuscript in January. This revised version is improved a lot and made responses to most of my previous suggestions. I have no more comments.

Reviewer 3 Report

In Introduction the authors should better describe the different factors that affects tomato quality and mention reated references such as: Durazzo et al. nfluence of different crop management practices on the nutritional properties and benefits of tomato -Lycopersicon esculentum cv Perfectpeel- International Journal of Food Science and Technology 45, 2637–2644. ISSN: 0950-5423, DOI:10.1111/j.1365-2621.2010.02439.x. The novelty character of paper should be better marked. Figure 1 should be better described in the text. The paragraph PCA for the salt tolerance indices should be implemented. Figure 4 should be better described in the text.

Answer: -The introduction is updated as per your suggestions with proper references (P-2, L66-68).
-As the paper focused on multivariate analysis for screening the Figure 1 was described briefly but all the data were clearly presented in supplementary table S2. Moreover, the correlation can also be derived from three-way biplot PCA analysis (Figure 2).
- Sorry! there was a mistake in the table and figure numbers which made it difficult to understand. We have corrected those (P-7, L-248, 270-271, 277). In PCA for the salt tolerance indices were also described and supported with supplementary table S5 and S6 along with Figure S4.
-Figure 4 is described more as per your suggestion. (P-8-9, L-297-308)
