Round  1

Reviewer 1 Report

The authors reported a method for the synthesis of lithium niobite via a combination of sol-gel and electrospinning technique in this study. The results show that the morphology and stability of the prepared materials are dependent on the concentration of precursor. The corresponding characterization has been performed to investigate the morphology and structure of the materials. However, following comments need to be addressed before making a final decision.

Additional Comments:

1. Figure 1 needs to be revised since it makes readers confused.

2. The corresponding XRD patterns of the prepared materials should be provided in the revised manuscript.

3. The elemental analysis should be performed to determine the element weight ratios of the obtained materials.

4. The results of other prepared samples in terms of SEM and Raman should be included in the revised manuscript.

5. The quality of the figures should be improved, and the format of the units should be consistent.

6.  The language of the manuscript needs to be improved.

Author Response

1. Figure 1 needs to be revised since it makes readers confused.

Response: quality of figure was improved

2. The corresponding XRD patterns of the prepared materials should be provided in the revised manuscript.

Response: XRD patterns of the fibers is provided

3. The elemental analysis should be performed to determine the element weight ratios of the obtained materials.

Response: the element weight ratios the fibers is provided

4. The results of other prepared samples in terms of SEM and Raman should be included in the revised manuscript.

Response: we only report the sample with continuos fibers

5. The quality of the figures should be improved, and the format of the units should be consistent.

Response: quality of figure was improved

6. The language of the manuscript needs to be improved.

Response: The language of the manuscript  was improved

Reviewer 2 Report

Authors reported the synthesis of Lithium Niobate-Silica Nanofibers by the sol-gel method and electrospinning. The scope of the research was interesting. However, the manuscript was immature for the publish in the journal. Authors must improve the quality of the manuscript.

The detailed comments in part are described as follows:

- In the Introduction, authors must introduce the previous research on the combination of the sol-gel method and the electrospinning.

- In the Results and Discussions, the presentation is poor. Please explain the results in a carefull manner. How can I understand line 74-82 in Page 2. How did authors confirm the coaxial structure from Figure 3. Where is the XRD results? Please show the nanofiber morphologies before the calcination.

- Authors must show the optimization of the electrospinning condition since this paper is on the synthesis of nanofibers.

- In the Conclusions, I could not understand how authors conclude "It was observed that the concentration of the precursor influences the morphology and stability of the fibers; the use of the silica improves the characteristics of the fibers as well, resulting in continuous fibers."

Author Response

Response: changes was done

Round  2

Reviewer 1 Report

The revised manuscript can be accepted.

Author Response

Response: The language of the manuscript was improved

Reviewer 2 Report

There are so many typos. The manuscript is not well prepared. Authors must recheck the whole manuscript and should carefully revise their manuscript according to the reviewers' comments.

Author Response

The manuscript has been carefully prepared and revised according to the comments of the reviewers. It should be noted that the manuscript in its first version was submitted as a communication, now we add more information and results that support the research carried out
