Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

In general, I am satisfied with the revision. My methodoligical remarks were only prroposals, but the conclusions can be drawn from the present content of the paper. I have found a few technical errors which still demad corrections:

1. line 43: leucoDOPAchrome

2. line 131: DOPAquinone (no space)

3. The present list of references (the improved one) does not correspond to the text, or there are some references lacking. E.g. I suggested citing Land et al, 2004, and Schallreuter et al, 2008. Please check carefully the numbers of citations and their correspondence with the references. In particular citations 13-40 (probably you included new numbers but not new references in the list, and some references maintained old numbers in the list). Citation 13 does not concern MiTF, you probably mean Vachtenheim & Borovansky [17] etc. Please check carefully and add Land and Schallreuter.

4.line 239 - you corrected "Intercellular" for "Intracellular" in 238 but not in 239.

Reviewer 2 Report

This is a resubmission and it seems that the authors addressed all the comments and concerns the reviewers had. In addition, they also made their claim stronger as they supported their results with further blots and protein determination.
They also demonstrated that upon exposure to fosfomycin disodium salt led to an increase of melanin production.
