Comments and Suggestions for AuthorsIn the manuscript “Optimal Control Strategies for a Mathematical Model of Pneumonia Infection”, the authors formulate and analyze a deterministic mathematical model describing the transmission dynamics of pneumonia. A comprehensive stability analysis is conducted for both the disease-free and endemic equilibrium points. The condition for the locally and globally asymptotically stable of disease-free equilibrium is depicted as well as the endemic equilibrium. The results provide valuable insights into the control of pneumonia and highlight the potential impact of strategic public health interventions. The topic is interesting. However, some problems listed as follows should be revolved.
- In the keywords, “Stability” should be “stability”.
- What is the meaning of generalizing the model proposed by Mumbu by replacing the bilinear incidence with a saturated incidence rate of the form βSI/(1+mI )? Please the Biological meaning.
- In the section” 4. Backward Bifurcation Analysis”, the bifurcation diagram should be given to match the title and the bifurcation parameter should be pointed.
- In the section ”5. Optimal Control Strategies”, How is optimization reflected in the control strategy?
