This manuscript investigated the effect of piston effect on the airflow field in the transport lane based on the SST k-ω turbulence model and the dynamic meshing through numerical simulations, which provides some useful information for the safe and stable operation of mine ventilation systems. The work is interesting. Therefore, I recommend the manuscript for publication after addressing the following minor comments:

(1) There are some typos throughout the manuscript which need careful editing. 

(2) In the second paragraph of Introduction,  it is recommend that the authors list some real accidents to illustrate the severe consequences of piston effects.

(3) Adding a paragraph at the end of Introduction is suggested to illustrate the main work of each section.

(4) The authors should replace "grid" with "mesh" or "meshing" throughout the manuscript.

(5) Please add relative contents describing the model’s boundary condition in Section 2.3. 

(6) The authors can add a discussion to compare other researchers' research on piston effect in a single roadway flow field with the conclusions considering the connection between shaft and transport lane in this manuscript.
