Reviewer 1 Report

Please find my comments below.

1. what knowledge gaps would you like to address as the purpose of this article? The presentation of technical research results may not be appropriate to fill knowledge gaps in your field of study. Please clearly address the main challenges of your research topic and new contribution(s) to your field and in the context of your study.

2) I could not identify any hypotheses highlighted in the text.

3) I would recommend adding some references to the recent thematic literature (including web of science and Scopus articles).

4. I also think that the catalogue of cited literature is rather poor. I suggest expanding the literature list to include 2019-2020.

5. I am not fully qualified to evaluate your English, but it seems that a professional native speaker needs to be involved to improve your writing.

Reviewer 2 Report

I have reviewed this article about data modelling for geographical use.

The study is complete and soundly built. The aim of the research is adequate because we have detected an increasing need for describing spatial patterns.

The mathematical principles underlying the problem are adequately exposed and referenced.

The graphs have been clearly rendered. But there is not much spatial development of the findings and no maps are presented.

The authors have developed a well-founded methodology. They explain in detail their procedures; only they do not mention in detail to what kind of regions or settlement the study corresponds more closely. They do not explain the historic periods to which it can be applied.

Generally speaking, I do not find important hindrances. The review of literature is extensive and thoughtful

The results might be expanded a bit by adding spatial or mapping examples of the SGAN and GAN methodologies developed for different configurations and environments.

The could perhaps make their article more accesible and readable for the general non-specialized public.

Summary of evaluation: This article is interesting and thought provoking. I have identified no severe flaws in the discussion or methodology. I suggest that this article should be accepted for publication with some minor revisions.
