Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Interesting and well-presented work. One point that could be improved, perhaps with references, is to clarify how close the simulated and experimental models are to a real case. Furthermore, there are some problems with typing, spelling, and poor quality of the figures.

Reviewer 2 Report

The present work attempts to investigate the electromagnetic effects of streamer discharges on neighbouring system through experiments. This report provided a good approach to understand the frequency spectrum of electromagnetic effects. However mandatory revision is required to improve the quality of the manuscript. Please find below the detailed queries:

  1. Section 2, authors should provide the reasons behind the choice of configurations chosen in the present work.
  2. Size of figures 1 and 2 can be decreased appropriately. In the current form it is too big with very less information.
  3. Material of the electrodes and the reasons behind the choices need to be specified.
  4. Figure 5, authors should plot the figures appropriately to the rise time, fall time of the current pulse. Measuring device need to be mentioned in the work with its location in Fig. 1 or 2. What does the author mean by the electromagnetic effects of current in Fig. 5?
  5. Tables 1 and 2, how the flowing charges were calculated?
  6. Wavelet transform method adopted in the present work need to be presented in brief in the present work for clarity to the readers.
  7. Authors should add a conclusion section (or last para of the manuscript) to summarise all the key results obtained in the present work.
  8. Title of section 2 needs to be changed to ‘Experimental schemes’ as it only describes the different experimental setup.

Reviewer 3 Report

In figure 1 and 2 there should be measures of the dimensions. Length of rods etc.

In the end I suggest a separate section "4. Conclusions".
