the paper needs a minor revision before being published. These are some comments you have to address.

Comments

paragraph 2.3: could you describe the method used to attach the SMA wire ends. Are they critical points?

paragraph 3.1:

- after eq. specify on text that M_res is the resistance torque

- page 6 line 188: the Clausius-Clapeyron is defined as dsigma/dT so the dimension is MPa/K. Please correct

- eq5 and eq6: please, verify the dimension of the two equations, there something wrong in the product (C*sigma^-1). The dimension of this product should be K.

paragraph 3.3:

- page 8 line 270: why 1mm? is it arbitrary?

- eq7: please describe the terms in the equation

- figure 6: please, comments the irregularities of the peaks

- figure 8: what are the red points in the graph?

paragraph 3.5:

- page 13 line 418 and 419: as reported in your ref 33, the Clausius-Clapeyron is defined as dsigma/dT so the dimension is MPa/K. please correct in all the paper (also in table 3)
