HBIM for the Characteristics of Korean Traditional Wooden Architecture: Bracket Set Modelling Based on 3D Scanning
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
Thanks, authors, for their effort. Topic is interesting for the historic Korean wooden structures with joint bracket sets with a limit to realizing a complete HBIM, even by 3D scanning the entire building. Method is not so popular since it suggests dismantling of the joints to get full picture of their geometry. It is rarely possible. Also, there are not mentioned of other type of data which will be stored in HBIM. Metadata are also mentioned but wasn't explained. I would suggest fuller picture of the whole description of the platform of various historic building information that they are planning to build.

Reviewer 2 Report
The manuscript “HBIM for the Characteristics of Korean Traditional Wooden Architecture: Bracket Set Modelling Based on 3D Scanning” has a very interesting objective for the Korean historical monuments. The text is well written, however, here following, you can find comments which can be considered to improve the quality of the publication and give more understandable the contents.
Materials and methods
Text from line 97 to line 153 can be integrated in the introduction, where instead is lacking the explanation of the case of study. In this part I suggest to leave just the specific information. Moreover, in the current state it is hard to follow this section that I think can be divided in under subparagraphs “Materials” and “Methods”. In the “Methods”, please, explain better the innovative character of your research and how you convert the 3D mesh in HBIM data, thus it will be easier to follow your comments in results.
Results
As for the previous section I suggest the use of subparagraphs to explain the different results and steps. In the current state is hard to get the real innovative impact of your research.
