Symmetry Best Paper Award 2015
In order to recognize outstanding papers that have been published in Symmetry, the Editorial Board established an annual “Symmetry Best Paper Award”. We are pleased to announce the first “Symmetry Best Paper Award” for 2015. Nominations were selected by the Editorial Board Office, with all research articles published in 2013 and 2014 eligible for consideration. Following review and voting by the Symmetry Best Paper Award Committee, the following three papers have won Symmetry Best Paper Awards for 2015:
First Prize
Mohamed Azzouz

The first paper executes the occurrence of Fermi surface in rotating antiferromagnetism theory. The second paper describes the Taylor-Socolar tilings as model sets. The third paper discusses the fundamental role of symmetries in Poincare group.
These three papers are valuable contributions to Symmetry. On behalf of the Symmetry Best Paper Award Committee and the Editorial Board of Symmetry, I congratulate the winners for their significant contributions and thank them for choosing to publish their best work in Symmetry. In recognition of their accomplishments, Dr. Mohamed Azzouz, Dr. Jeong-Yup Lee and Dr. Young S. Kim will be awarded the privilege of publishing an additional research paper, with all publication fees waived, in Open Access format in Symmetry, after the standard peer-review procedure.
The Editorial Board and Editorial Staff at Symmetry is committed to meeting the needs of the symmetry research community by providing useful and timely reviews of all manuscripts submitted, and providing an Open Access journal for your results. Please consider submitting your work to Symmetry, and I look forward to announcing your paper as a Symmetry Best Paper in the future.
