Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Having said that the figures of the analytical process and the territory under analysis are very clear, images could also be used in order to explain other contents, especially for non-local readers. Spatial analysis of factors influencing changes in the cultural landscape in Anzhen village could also be more effective if supported by visualizations.

Reviewer 2 Report

Thank you for sharing this interesting and meaningful study with us. Overall, the presentation, visuals, and supporting information are excellent. I noticed a few very minor typos with extra spaces or a period missing or spaced away from the end of a sentence. Some of the well-made tables were split between two pages, making them harder to read [these may be formatting issues made by the journal editor and not your fault]. This paper also raises some interesting implided questions about who controls rural tourism development. Is this control shared equally between governments, businesses, tourists, and the local population? This paper does not need to address that point, but it would make another interesting point to add at your conclusion. This paper should be ready to publish once these minor format issues are sorted out. I look forward to reading it then.
