Reviewer 2 Report

Water-based coatings' use, properties, advantages and disadvantages are a very hot topic. In connection with the increasingly high demands for environmental friendliness, they are a significant solution for many industries, including the furniture industry.

The proposed manuscript is a typical applied research work where the effects of different environmental conditions (including temperature, humidity and wind speed) on the drying rate and performance of the WBP film were investigated.

I have the following comments on the paper:

·       There are technical inaccuracies in the material, e.g. formulas are not numbered, in formulas where there is a squared value, numbers are not superscript (page 8)

·       There is a lack of comparison of the results obtained with similar studies, including other varnish systems

·       The cited literature should be enriched with more sources, including European ones.

Author Response

The formulas have been numbered in the revision, and add some relevant English literature.
