Fabrication of Metallic Nano-Ring Structures by Soft Stamping with the Thermal Uplifting Method
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
The authors reported the fabrication of metallic micro-ring structures via soft-stamping with the thermal uplifting method. The submission requires major revision before considering the following points:-
- XRD should be added.
- An application of the prepared materials should be added.
- EDX analysis and mapping should be added.
- A comparison with previously published methods should be discussed and summarized in a Table.
- The language should be revised, and typos should be corrected.

In this Manuscript, “Fabrication of metallic nano-ring structures by soft-stamping with the thermal-uplifting method,” the authors propose the nanofabrication process to fabricate the gold micro-ring arrays on a glass plate by a combination of the soft stamping with the thermal uplifting method. Some questions need to be addressed before publication and are as follows:
- Authors need to correct the typo mistakes in the whole Manuscript.
- The novelty of the work is not clear; what is the purpose of this study? How is this work beneficial?
- Authors need to give a detailed physical explanation for the soft stamping technique and Thermal-uplifting techniques. Why is the thermal-uplifting technique better (Physical Phenomena)?
- In Figure 5, why the peak intensity of the gold micro-ring is higher than that of the gold thin layer? What are the physical phenomena for shifting the peak from 500 nm to 560 nm? How does it affect the optical properties?
- Representation of blue, red, and black lines should be written in the graph in figure 5, and the text size and style should be the same as other graphs in the Manuscript.
