The paper is interesting, a but too mathematical maybe, but still fitting the scope of catalysis and very important as it deals with a pilot plant study, which is not a common subject in the literature. Some sentences need English corrections.(e.g. "were showed", should be "were shown"). Authors should better explain the novelty of their study and state if pilot plant studied were made before and what is the improvement achieved with this work

The manuscript " Pilot-scale production, properties and application of Fe/Cu catalytic- ceramic-filler for nitrobenzene compounds wastewater treatment”, by Bingchuan Yang et al. reports the

promising results obtained in a pilot scale test with a new catalytic ceramic filler prepared with Fe/Cu, applied to the wastewater treatment contaminated with highly toxic nitrobenzene compounds. The topic is relevant and timely once deals with the pollution removal of hazardous waste. The results appear to be valid and were properly presented. The performance of the new catalytic system was compared with the commercial system and all the relevant parameters were determined. In this context and provide that the above comments are addressed, the contribution could be of interest to Catalysts.

Comment 1. I believe that literature could be updated. Outdated literature is referred.

Comment 2. Please check the order in which the references appear in the text. Should be sequential.

Comment 3. Please check the text. Space between words and between values and the respective units are missing along all the text. There are also same typos in all the text.

Comment 4. For a clear presentation Table 1 should be divided. Characteristics of fillers should be presented as a part of topic “2.1.1. Raw materials” and characteristics of wastewater in the topic 2.2.2.

Comment 5. Please check the sequence of Tables and Figures. Table 2 and Figure 6 are missing.

Comment 6. Wastewater pH value is to low (2.2) and the concentration of nitrobenzene compounds is too high to effective biological treatment. Please comment and clarify what are the pH value after the pre-treatment with the Fe/Cu ceramic filler.

Answer: Thank you for your kind advice. The original pH value is very low and concentration of TNC is too high to the biological treatment. But after the pre-treatment with our CBR (Fe/Cu ceramic filler), the pH value was changed to neutral and the concentration of nitrobenzene compounds stayed lower than 31.25mg/L. It is suitable for bio-treatment.
