Comments and Suggestions for Authors

First of all, I appreciate the opportunity to review the paper Effect of usage of Industrial robots on Quality, Labor productivity, Exports and Environment.  The paper deals with a very interesting problem.

Suggestions are below:

·        The last paragraph in the Introduction section should be a structure of the paper – a few sentences for each section.

·        Section 3 is poorly written and must be improved.

·        Argumentation for selected approaches must be stronger and connected with previous research.

·        Methodology research algorithm is missing.

·        Section Discussion should be written as Practical and Theoretical implications.

·        The authors should additionally discuss the novelties and contributions of their study in the discussion section.

·        Future research directions should be reinforced.  The authors should provide more future research directions that would interest most of the Journal readers (lines 474-476).

·        Tables should be prepared following the journal template.

·        Font size in some tables is problematic (for example Table 2).

·        All references cited in the paper must be present in the reference list and vice versa. Check all references.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The study analyses an important and topical issue: the use of industrial robots and its impact on labour productivity. In the world of Industry 4.0, the use of robots to replace live workers is becoming increasingly important. The study draws on data from a survey conducted in 2022 (the survey was not conducted by the authors, only the data was taken and analysed). The methodological description of the analysis is well understood; it is statistically sound and the assessment of the results is technically correct.

The study needs to be modified, based on the following reviewers' suggestions:

- More recent, up-to-date literature on the impact of robots on the labour market and its risks for live work would be useful.

- The citation for lines 85-95 is missing and should be corrected.

- In any case, the reasons for the choice of these 4 countries (Spain, Slovakia, Slovenia and Croatia) and the analysis of these data should be explained. For the time being, the choice of countries seems to be self-serving.

- It would also be good to read about the limitations of the research in the study.

- In the study, 5 hypotheses have been formulated which are related to robots. It would also have been good to read hypotheses concerning similarities or differences between the countries studied. When evaluating the results, the analysis from a spatial point of view and could be interesting.
