Dear author I congratulate on your idea and interest. This area is very important for different aspects of rural development, sustainability and resilience of rural communities. Anyhow, I have few remarks and recommendations.

First, It is not clear why you selected this event - 5th edition of the Edible Flowers Festival in Dobrzyca, to be a case study? You have to explain it more and to explain where Dobrzyca is placed (Poland and few info about region). The case study approach implies to explain characteristic of case under defined framework (the event benefits outlined in literature can be an framework). It is important to explain its connection with food - it is not clear.

Second, it is necessary to explain survey instruments (when and how it was created and to present its content). The surveys and interviews are part of qualitative research - questions can be created to gather qualitative or quantitative data. This has to be clearly stated in the paper.

Fourth: The Figure 1 presenting research hypothesis is an excellent visualisation. I will just add neutral and positive at each arrow.

Fifth: I am sure that researchers were not in position to apply "a single-stage random cluster 214 sampling procedure was applied". Authors explained convenience sampling non-probability sampling. So it is necessary to apply some kind of reliability test (alpha Cronbach for example).

Sixth: It is important to split sample into two parts - local and tourist to see difference in perception and then it is necessary to test statistical significance of difference between those two parts. That is correct way to test perception. Also, in table 3. it is necessary to test presented difference between perception of different groups - test of statistical differences.

Seven: the perception of stakeholders’ groups can be presented at one graph - spider graph. This is just suggestion.

Eight: the research limitation has to be put in the conclusions. Also, they have to include limitations that are connected with sampling methods.

Nine: the management implications have to be placed in conclusion, but also it has to be improved - it is not clear what are the implications and what are recommendations.

Tenth: The policy recommendations have to be included as well. It has to be connected with measures in rural development policies in Poland.
