This paper investigates the performance of a toroidal OWC device, in terms of its hydrodynamic behavior and wave power absorption ability and the validation of the proposed formulation has been confirmed. It is concluded that the geometrical parameters of the device would affect the absorbed wave power by the examined toroidal devices significantly.

The manuscript is well-structured, and in order to enhance the quality of this paper, please consider the below comments:

1. From figure 2, which is used to validate the proposed formulation, we can see that the agreement of most parts is pretty good. However, for the ?? around 1.0, there are a rapid rise and fall (almost a vertical line) without referenced value to check. Please explain this.

2. The difference of Figure 4a and Figure 4b is not clear enough to show the different configure of the chambers. Please redraw these figures to make the difference between configures 1 and 2 more clearly.
