The Development of Service Metrics Indicators of a Public Transportation Service Case Study: Intercity Trains in Nakhon Ratchasima Province, Thailand
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
This article presents a case study that investigates intercity train services in Thailand's Nakhon Ratchasima Province based on survey data. The research design employs the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach. Although the research topic is interesting, there are still some issues that need to be addressed before recommending it for publication.
In the Introduction section, it is necessary to provide the data source, research method, and research area, as well as clarify the research questions and contributions of this case study.
Additionally, the Review section should be reorganized to establish a clear connection between the subtitles from 2.1 to 2.5. The review should follow the main line of the research design. For instance, it should explain why the author considers the relationship between the variables depicted in Figure 1.
To improve the readers' understanding of the research context, it would be helpful to include a map. This would provide a visual representation of the geographical area under investigation.
Furthermore, some relationship assumptions in Figure 1 are not clear. The direction of the arrows is confusing. For example, it is unclear why Satisfaction can influence production, price, place, and promotion. I suggest referring to the following paper for guidance on this issue: Zhang, W., Lu, D., Chen, Y., & Liu, C. (2021). "Land use densification revisited: Nonlinear mediation relationships with car ownership and use." Transportation Research Part D: Transport and Environment, 98, 102985.
Lastly, it is important to note that SEM can only provide associations between variables and cannot establish causal relationships. The authors should be mindful of this limitation in their description of the results to avoid implying causal relationships.

This is a fairly good analysis of the theory and practice in relation to the customer satisfaction and relating indicators, via the analysis of questionnaires containing different variables. The problem is clearly stated and the model and statistical aspects of covariance structural analysis are well explained. It is supposed that authors use some specific software for statistical evaluation and demonstrate use of other statistical techniques including ANOVA and related indexes. The conclusions are in fairly good agreement with the question posed in the introduction but at the same time they are fairly generic
There are only minor considerations for the English aspect.

1) In this study, are there any information gaps that haven't yet been addressed?
2) Practical application for this research should be mentioned.
3) Table 2 includes 36 independent variables, requiring more discussion.
4) In Tables 3 and 4, the author presents the results; however, I was unable to find the discussion of these findings.
5) In terms of statistics, the author should discuss the correlation between each independent variable included in each model.
6) Any limitations to the study should be mentioned by the authors.
7) There was no mention of further study.
Quality of English Language is good.
